The Yamaha DHR12M is purpose-built for demanding stage monitoring. With a rugged plywood cabinet, 1000 watts of Class-D power, and a 12-inch coaxial driver, it delivers high-definition sound with exceptional clarity and control across all frequencies without the harshness or phase issues common in traditional wedge monitors.

Coaxial Compression Driver for Smooth, Focused Sound

Unlike standard two-way designs, the DHR12M uses a coaxial configuration with a 1.75” compression driver mounted inside the woofer. This improves phase alignment and results in a more natural, consistent response exactly what performers need to hear themselves clearly on stage, even in loud environments.

The cabinet is made from high-grade plywood (the same material used in Yamaha’s flagship DZR series), ensuring both durability and superior acoustic performance. Compact and shaped specifically for floor monitoring, it’s tough enough for touring and refined enough for install.

Smart DSP for Cleaner Monitoring

Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning uses linear phase FIR filters for smoother crossover response and better imaging. Paired with 24-bit high-resolution converters and intelligent dynamic control (D-CONTOUR), the DHR12M delivers clear, consistent sound at any volume with no muddiness, no drop in clarity.

Monitor Mode Optimized for Stage Use

With D-CONTOUR set to Monitor Mode, the speaker automatically adjusts EQ to reduce low-end buildup and flatten the response essential for accurate monitoring. It’s designed with real-world use in mind, based on hours of listening tests with professional sound engineers.

Two-Channel Mixer Built In

On the back, you’ll find a simple 2-channel mixer:

• CH1 accepts mic or line-level input via combo XLR/TRS

• CH2 offers a second combo input or stereo RCA for playback devices

Use CH1+2 MIX to blend both channels, or CH1 THRU to pass signal through to another speaker.
